알리키 How a Book Is Made 작가에서 독자까지 이어지는 책만들기 과정을 재미있게 보여주는 학습그림책. 추상적인 이야기를 배제하고, 책이 만들어지는 현장을 직접 견학하는 듯한 느낌을 준다. 책의 구조와 만드는 과정에 참여하는 사람들의 이야기를 실었다. 먼저 아이는 이렇게 묻는다. 로렌의 지식 그림책 로렌 리디 (Loreen Leedy) - 1959년 미국 윌밍튼에서 태어났다. 1987년에는 '페어런트 초이스 상'을, 1989년에는 뛰어난 화가에게 주는 '에즈라 잭 키츠 상'을 받았다. 대학에서 미술을 공부했지만, 딱히 어떤 분야의 미술 작업을 할지는 정하지 못했다. 그러다 졸업 후 점토 액세서리와 체스 세트를 만들어 팔게 되었다. 돼지, 고양이, 용 같은 개성 넘치는 동물 캐릭터로 만들어진 머리핀과 귀걸이와 체스 조각은 아주 인기가 좋았다. 스물다섯 살이 되었을 때, 처음으로 액세서리 캐릭터를 책 속 캐릭터로 변신시켰다. 처음으로 낸 가 바로 그 책이다. 그 후 로렌은 수학, 과학, 사회, 언어 분야를 비롯한 여러 지식 분야와 관련된 그림책을 펴냈어요. 지금도 로렌은 미국 플로리다에 있는 작업실에서.. 2009. 6. 4.
